More Than Rifles
Welcome to the Virginia Muzzle Loading Rifle Association!
Though our name says "rifle", we are much more. VMLRA
promotes all muzzle loading firearms shooting sports.
Support the Sport

goal in Virginia is to support all aspects of the muzzle loading
firearms, seeking to promote a higher standard of sportsmanship,
ethical hunting, safety, and good fellowship among those who participate
in black powder sports.

The
VMLRA is a not for profit organization. No part of the net earnings
of the association shall inure to the benefit of, or be distributable
to its directors, members, or any individuals (other than upon dissolution),
except the association shall be authorized and empowered to pay
reasonable compensation for services rendered.
History
The
VMLRA was created in June of 1977 at
the Virginia State Rendezvous at Lexington, VA. Kirk Stanley of
the James River Black Powder Club was made Chairman. The original
association was composed of membered clubs. In 1990, individuals,
